Boneset is an upright plant of wetland edges, ditches, rain catches, shorelines, and woodland edges. The picture above was taken at the side of a rail trail where water collects. Highly attractive to insects, it is a good companion for several moisture-loving species like Sweet Joe Pye Weed, Cardinal Flower, Northern Blue Flag, Prairie Blazing Star, Bog Goldenrod, and more.

Blooms: white, late July into September

Height: 3 to 4 feet

Conditions: sun to pt sun, wet to moist soils
