Prunella vulgaris, Self Heal

 

 

Self Heal grows on the semi-moist mineral soils around the east facing side of our woods. Does well where Lady Fern, Common Violet, Blue Lobelia, PA Sedge and Hairy Wood Sedge do well.

 

Blooms: purple, June into September

Height: 6 to 16 inches

Conditions: shade to pt sun, moist-medium to medium soils
