Junegrass is the odd cool-season native prairie grass, meaning it will actively grow earlier than most prairie grasses. It will begin green growth by May and flower in June, therefore the name Junegrass. This is a great, upright grass for short grass prairies, savannas and gardens withplants like Blue Grama, Prairie Phlox, Orange Butterflyweed, Prairie Onion and more.
