Actaea rubra, Red Baneberry

Red Baneberry at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

Red Baneberry is a fairly common resident of Minnesota woodland and savanna upland environments. For that reason, as well as its attractive foliage, red berries, and white flowers, you may want to plant this in your woodland restoration or garden. Yet, it will be hard to find as it is hard to propagate from seed. Sometimes I get lucky and sometimes not -the same may be true for you. I may have one or two on hand.

Blooms: white

Height:  2 feet
