Artemisia ludoviciana, Prairie Sage

 Pictures to come!

The gray leaves of Prairie Sage can really add a striking accent to any short grass prairie planting. Beware that this incredibly drought-tolerant, prairie species spreads by rhizome and can do so quite readily. The right competition and very dry soils can help maintain a balanced community of plants.

Blooms: greenish-yellow, July to September

Height: 1 to 3 feet

Conditions: sun to pt sun, medium to dry soils, sandy and dry best to limit spread
