Lobelia spicata, Pale-spike Lobelia

 

Shelterwood began growing Pale-spike Lobelia in spring of 2023 and they were ready in 2024. A delicate Lobelia for rain gardens, wet meadows, moist savannas or open woods -or maybe a garden? These have a long bloom period due to exceptionally long spikes over basal leaves. They won't bloom the first year and when the flowers begin reaching the tops of their long spikes, they may need to be supported by other species if you are not okay with leaning.

Conditions: sun to pt shade, wet to moist-medium
