Anemone patens wolfgangiana, Pasque Flower

Pasque Flower's fuzzy hands rise up, flower, then offer whimsical seedheads as if fashioned by Dr. Suess. Great to cheer you up first thing in spring, perfect for rock gardens, prairies, and other dry, sunny locations. Doesn't like acid soils. I grow ours in a crushed red limestone and topsoil mix.

Blooms: white blushed lavender or pink with yellow center, April into May

Height: 6 to 10 inches

Conditions: sun to pt sun, well-drained medium to dry soils with neutral to alkaline pH
