Juncus tenuis, Path Rush

 Pictures to come!

Path Rush is a grass or sedge-like species in the Rush family. Remember the old sing-song "Sedges have edges, rushes are round, grasses have nodes down to the ground," with myriad variations for the grass part. Anyways, this is a great plant for trail-side in a woods restoration, or any disturbed site that needs a hungry mammal defying, easy plant. Upright stems and dark green foliage looks great in any woodland or savanna setting.

Blooms: June to August

Height: 8 to 20 inches

Conditions: shade to pt shade, dappled sun, moist-medium to medium dry soils
