This diminutive, dry soil skullcap is a wonderful addition to the short sand prairie or prairie plants you've already been adding like Fameflower, Prairie Violet, Slender Penstemon, and more. Small Skullcap ranges over most of the drier part of the state, the boreal region excluded.
Bloom: blue-purple, June into July
Height: 4 to 8 inches
Conditions: sun to part shade, medium to dry soils
