Viola sororia, Red-Purple Violet
As a painter, the uncommon color of this Common Violet registers to me as quinacridone red-purple, sometimes called quinacridone violet. Not truly magenta or fuschia, yet not red nor purple, it maybe is best approximated by the color name rose, but then again, not quite. Truly a special color viola among the common violets and one of my favorites!
