Prairie Shooting Star can be light pink to deep magenta.

Prairie Shooting Star is an ephemeral species rarely found in the wild in Minnesota due to habitat loss. It is not native to our eastern and central Minnesota counties, however, it is a popular garden plant and does well under those conditions.

Blooms: white to pink to lavender-purple, late April to early June

Height: 8 to 12 inches

Conditions: sun to pt shade, well-draining moist-medium to medium dry soils, ephemeral
