Trillium cernuum, Nodding Trillium

Nodding Trillium is one of a handful of Trillium species in Minnesota. Because of its nodding flower and leaves that somewhat resemble Jack in the Pulpit, many often miss this lovely ephemeral woodland species. Gently lift up its leaves to see the striking flower below.

Blooms: white and green with purple, May into June

Height: 10 to 16 inches

Conditions: shade to pt shade (at leaf out), medium soils, ephemeral

I do not have these available at this time.

One must remember to look under the three leaves for the flower.
