Anemone canadensis, Canada Anemone

I was reluctant to offer this Canada Anemone until enough customers asked for it. Why? Simply put -it's known to form colonies. But, I now have a few that have overwintered and I will make available. It prefers moister conditions, so is often found in roadside ditches up north, where this one was photographed. It's a lovely flower.

Blooms: white with yellow center, late May into July

Height: 1 to 2 feet
