Smooth Solomon's Seal is a staple of the savanna-woodland understory or woodland edges. It certainly has found a place in traditional gardens, too. Surprisingly tolerant of drier woodland soils -great for a savanna setting, under white, red, or bur oaks. 

Shelterwood's Smooth Solomon's Seal was started by seed and is slow to maturity.

Conditions: pt shade to shade, medium to medium-dry soils
