Helenium autumnale, Sneezeweed (Helenium)

The rather unfortunately named Sneezeweed, is the parent of many horticultural cultivars. Our Minnesota native Helenium is grown from locally-collected seeds and is a wonderful plant for wetlands, rain gardens, wet depressions, downspout gardens, and more. Its golden yellow flowers come on in August and last for weeks.
